Shootin’ with Ken Krehbiel

Ken invited me to come and shoot with him yesterday at a wedding and of course I said YES! I’ve really enjoyed being able to join Ken on a number of photo shoots (commercial/wedding). He’s such a fun guy to be around and is totally up to trying new things. Which I’m sure he has no choice of when I’m around! Thanks Ken!! 🙂
One goal that we had was to put together a slideshow during the reception of some pictures taken earlier that day. It was to be the first attempt for both of us. So while Ken continued to shoot during the reception I started to download the pictures and edit them. It was so difficult to decide which pictures to include because even though you are wanting to tell the whole story of the day you just don’t have time to edit that many pictures. So I trimmed it down to I think 58 images (still way too many) and set up the slideshow over where many people would pass by…the bar! Right away people were starting to stand around it. I could easily say that at one moment there were at least 15 people all standing around it trying to view the pictures. We could hear so many people say ‘those are great’ ‘wow’ ‘oh, look!’ ‘so cute’. It definitely helped confirm how important it will be for me to do this at any wedding that I book.
